At ForgeRock, we have great respect for the Forrester Wave report due to its deep analysis, and we are thrilled to have been named a leader in their report, The Forrester Wave™: Customer Identity and Access Management, Q4 2022.
Forrester researched, analyzed, and scored customer identity and access management (CIAM) vendors based on a range of 22 criteria that represent important capabilities for enterprises evaluating CIAM for themselves. The research is intensive, including a detailed questionnaire, hours of live demos, multiple briefings, and customer interviews.
Because of the depth of the Forrester analysis, we are particularly proud to have earned the highest scores in both the current offering and strategy categories. The current offering category includes criteria such as data orchestration, users and roles, customer identity verification and registration, authentication methods, customer self-service, and reporting and dashboarding. The strategy category includes the criteria of product vision, execution roadmap, market approach, planned enhancements, supporting products and services, partner ecosystem, delivery model and commercial model.
About ForgeRock CIAM, the report noted, “The solution is a match for organizations that need to map complex-to-very-complex customer registration, authentication, and self-service workflows to a CIAM solution and have internal CIAM administrator expertise and staffing.”
For us this description encapsulates exactly what we’ve aimed to do over the years with our CIAM solution — and it just continues to get better, with more robust orchestration, broad integrations, a range of authentication methods, and more.
This year, we introduced significant enhancements to our orchestration engine that make it easier to create user personalization and self-service. We also simplified authentication by extending the FIDO2 WebAuthn standard to enable passwordless and usernameless login, and we introduced behavioral analytics for authentication and authorization that enable customers to make smart, fast access decisions powered by AI.
As consumers spend more time carrying out digital interactions with brands, government entities, financial institutions, healthcare providers, and others, they have become far more sophisticated and they expect a personalized and secure online experience. Our focus has been to make it as easy as possible for our customers to deliver those experiences.
One customer, Partners Health Management, is using ForgeRock CIAM to create a 360-degree view of member information in order to offer more personalized care. They’re using our single sign-on to bolster security and improve the experience for members and providers.
